The
Fleurie mostly comes from the Grille Midi. This famous terroir with its
typical wines faces South-east on slopes of granitic sand. The hand picked harvest allows to vinify the
whole grapes which guarantees the typical taste.
The maturing time in wooden tuns takes
6 to 9 months. According to the tradition that the Crus The
Beaujolais Crus traditionally need till Easter to mature. The
first bottles being filled in Spring.
In order to enjoy our Fleuries , we advise you to take
time to let them ''aerate'' : open the bottle some hours before
tasting. You will discover
floral and fruity aromas and perceive hints of blackcurrant and
other small red berries
on the palate. Vinified for a laying down time of about 4 to 5
years, Fleuries is to be served at 13°C
and goes very well with a leg of lamb, chitterlings
sausage and meat in gravy. |
